Loss Translated

This undergraduate thesis was completed at Utah State University under the guidance of Dr. Anne Shifrer with support from the Department of English and an URCO (Undergraduate Research and Creative Opportunity) grant from the Office of Research and Graduate Studies as well as the Hubbard Family Scholarship Fund.  The thesis considers the poet Elizabeth Bishop and her relationship with Nova Scotia, Brazil, and the Portuguese concept of saudade.
